I am the only one getting pop up ads when visiting the site. It's bad enough to get a pop up ad but this one is in Spanish. Maybe the site is infected, I only get this pop on this forum.
if yer not a supporter or run chrome or another such thing that kinda limits that welllllllllll............................... dainnit Bob yer infected with pop up cooties !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bob, I am a member of numerous (too damn many) forums and on some of them, the ads almost will bring you to a stop ! Downloaded the Firefox browser (free) and added "ad-block" (also free) and have absolutely no pop-ups, banner ads, etc. Sites that used to crawl are FAST now ! You can run it and keep Microsoft's Internet Explorer if you like.
Just a thought.... Has worked well for me. Doesn't make a difference if you are a supporter or not
My question is FTE allowing these or did the site get hacked? It happened a few months ago. If FTE is allowing it then I think it stinks, there are way too many ads already. I tolerate the side and top ads because other than slowing the loading of the page they don't really bother me, the pages load fairly fast for me. But the pop up ads are a pain, it's something extra I have to click off. Also, if they are being allowed by FTE why in the world would they think we'd want to participate in a survey in Spanish?!!
You're not alone, Bob. I got that one, too. And I use both Firefox and Chrome with Adblocker. Somehow, the ads and/or malware associated with this site have managed to disable and bypass Adblocker and I constantly have to fight that as well. I don't have problems with any other forum I visit, but this place is incredibly incessant with crap. If it wasn't for the fellowship and comoradarie here, I wouldn't bother coming back.

Adblockers use a list of known websites that spew ads (something like 95% of all pop-up ads come from about 8 sites) to block common pop-ups, but you can add anything that gets thru to the list.
I get the same pop up from time to time. I have IE 9 and have the pop up blocker activated. I still get this pop up ad. I also get an occasional Netflix pop up ad from a different website.
