I am putting in a JW valve body tomorrow and want to know which fluid everyone is running now. I plan on changing filter and new fluid. Truck calls for mercon. Ford says you can now run merconV in its place. Dont want to mess up my trany so just want to see what others are doing. Thanks for the help.
Sorry for the ignorance! But what is a JWVB? I understand its something to do with the valve body. Is it a spring replacement to firm up the shifts in the factory one or is it a completely different valve body. Thanks
There are, just depends on what your goals are, many users will offer advice based on plans. We will help you spend your money wisely though, too many users have tried different techniques and routes, and over time the best setups for goals are somewhat defined.
I dont want to get too crazy. Just want it to be reliable efficiant and strong. Which it is already. Maybe the 6637 filter and possiby something with the wastegate? What do you recommend concerning wastegate upgrades. I'm new to the site and have a lot of questions. I have had a diesel before just not the 7.3. Any help will appriciated. Oh I'm not into drag racing my truck or anything like that. I want good economy and better torque than the duracraps. I pull a 28ft camper also.
