cat delete questions

First off I've got a 96f250 with a 351w but is there much gain from the cat delete? Second is putting mufflers off the y pipe going to work? I belivie its 2.25

All removing the cats will do is make it louder. I removed mine and went 3" off the y pipe and a flowmaster super 44 muffler dumped under the bed

The pipe right at the y pipe is close to 3". I got the end of my pipe flared to fit over a 3" pipe and it worked great

It sounds alot meaner... To be honest I dont know if there was a performance gain or not. I did the intake as well and i live the way it sounds now. My main reason for doing it was my exhaust fell off going down the road lol so I had to do something
