When I got my 65' CC from the original owner yrs ago, it had the stainless dash bezel trim plate and door handle guards. I was not fond of the handle guards since it has 'custom cab' on it - took it off. The door already has custom cab emblem, so the two together looked rather ODD. I think the original owner added the handle guards, ???, don't know. The dash bezel, I believe was a factory option even in 65'. Again I'm not sure if factory option or added by original owner. I just know these items were on the truck when I got it at only a couple yrs old.

Be aware that the door handle push buttons are longer if door handle guards are present.

If you buy a set of these guards and they don't come with the longer push buttons, you're SOL

The handles are the same: 1961/66 F100/1100; 1963/69 N/NT/T500/1000; 1967/69 F800/1000.

The push buttons are 3 1/4" long with door handle guards, 3" long without them.

bobdrake.com repro's the guards @ $150.00 pair, includes the gaskets and longer pushbuttons.

Bob Drake has been reproducing Ford parts since 1971, his dad Bev was the best dang bodyman on the planet, could fix anything.

Drake is now located in Oregon, but used to live here in LA LA Land. He and his dad attended local swapmeets, where I first meet them both.

The lower dash switch bezel trim plate mentioned prior will only fit 61-64 light duty trucks...the 65-66 have a little curvature in this area to accomodate the revised column angle on the F100 and F250 2WD trucks in 65 and 66 as well as the 66 F100 4WD.

I wholeheartedly agree the handle guards look odd when installed on a truck with the CC door script already...kinda dorky if ya ask me...they should have left the CC name off of the guards...
