now what

i have an 83 f-150 with a 302, changed the camshaft with a summit racing sum-3601, great cam with intake .218/ exhaust .228 at .50 lift and a great 114 degrees of lobe separation. I got an Edelbrock 750 carb an Accel coil and the rest is stock. any suggestions on where to go next. I have an AOD auto transmission don't know about the rear end, the tags missing so I will have to jack it up to figure that out just let me know of any performance upgrades that would be worth looking into

Have you considered a new intake manifold?

Headers and a true-dual exhaust are said to give big rewards in power. Not in gas mileage as some catalogs say, but in the ability to wind it up which the 302 needs in order to make power.

What are the results so far? How does it drive? Usually you can get more out of it if you do a little tuning. Have you messed with the timing any?

Good intake as it is good for low end torque, which a truck needs. Haven't looked up your cam but I hope that's what it does as well. The 302 doesn't make lots of bottom-end power anyway, so you need to help it. And, the rear end ratio can make a big difference with them. Best check out what you have there - something like 3.50/3.55 would be a big help, and with the AOD's overdrive you can easily run 4.10's and still cruise.
