Does Pertronix make a module for a 55 239 ?

I didn't install a Pertronix for performance but for maintenance (unless you consider lack of maintenance better performance?). I do check my cap and rotor occasionally. In fact I would recommend users check their distributor. I actually had a distributor shaft bushing go bad and was surprised that the engine was still running (and pretty good) and the Pertronix wasn't damaged. I did replace the magnetic sleeve as it was beat up pretty bad but could have still been used. Try that with points.

I did notice that my Ranchwagon started easier but that may be due to using the Pertronix to trigger a MSD box. Whole different ballgame there.

Look up pertronix on the net and call them, they will sell you the correct unit. It does not matter to them if it is 6v or 12v, positive or negative ground. You just need to tell them in advance so they setup your unit in advance.
