I love the USA even if I don't care about were she's headed. I've been to few places way worse so I won't bitch to much. We to are getting more and more restrictive in EPA regulations. I happen to live in a part of Washington State that has yet to see smog checks. It's only a matter of time. As it stands most vehicles that do go to smog checks have to at less meet smog requirements for that vehicles year. Most don't even have to get it done if it something like 10 or 15 years old. So if you want to put a 302 onto a 2000 Ford Ranger then go for it as long as it passes Smog checks. We to have laws on how far out tires can stick out from a vehicle. But if you have mud flaps that are covering the tires the your ok. I think it's so you don't pick up a rock and bust out windows. Some states like Arizona have almost no limitations on vehicles. People can take a quad to the DMV have it registered and drive it down the freeway at 70 mps, no helmets. Crazy. A car with no body exposed wheels is ok as long as it has a headlight and a break light is about all you need to drive it. I love that state. Each state has its own laws so you choise were you live. I'd live in Idaho or Arizona if I could but not willing to give up my job.
