Fuel Gauge

Hi i was wondering if by any chance anybody knew how i can connect my fuel level gauge up? I have a 73 f100 short bed. Thanks for your help

What's the problem that you can't hook it up? Be a little more specific with your problem.

Sorry it just doesnt read the fuel level. it always stays on E when it has like 40 dollars off gas.

First step, disconnect the wire to the sending unit out at the tank and ground it. With the key in ACC, the gauge should peg to FULL. Report your results.

The fuel sending units float is made from two pieces of copper soldered together.

Solder breaks down, fuel seeps in, float settles to the bottom of the tank.

COAZ-9202-B .. Float / Available from Ford.

Applications: ALL 1957/79 Passenger Cars/Trucks / 1961/79 Econoline / 1966/79 Bronco.
