I turned 16 recently, and I got my Granddad's old 95 f150. Unfourtunatly the drivers side rear wheel on the truck locked up a couple days ago, it sounds similar to the issue you are having. It's been too cold to get under it, but from what I've seen online, the differential could be the issue? I noticed some resistence for about three days, like the parking brake was on, but after about a second, it went away.

when i see threads like this, first thing i tell the poster is check the rear brakes. if hardware breaks, it will engage the brakes when moving . then when you go the other way the rest of the hardware will let the offending shoe fall back into place and the vehicle will roll.
