Vin # Decode and Pics
The vin is:

During body work ~ 10 years ago:
Hauling an old metal shed away at my parents:
Splitting and hauling wood, still wasn't on the bump stops:
About two to three years ago when MD had 28+ inches of snow:
Currently as it sits:

I think the running gear under it is from a 250 '66-'79 (44 front 60 rear?) the tags on the axle said 409 front and 410 rear gears, 37" military oz's, the neighbor said it had a 390 in it (2bbl), 4 speed. Like I said I want to find out what the truck has so I know later on when and if something needs replaced so I can locate the part properly. My current plans are in 5+ years to find a good body for the truck, remove the current one and get the frame cleaned up put a new body on top of the drivetrain. This body has been to OBX for 5+ years and obviously has been in the salt belt for 10+ now. It is showing its age very fast. I have been reading off and on on this form (66') for the past couple of months, this place is a gold mine for knowledge. We also have a 03 250 (7.3), that I have learned a lot about since joining this form a few years ago. Thanks to everyone in advance, it's awesome to see how many of these are still around!

Converted to 4WD after it left the assembly line, IMO, well after. If it has a "divorced" transfer case, swapped parts came from 1967/77 F250 4WD "High Boy."
The tailgate is from a 1967/72, FORD insert from a 1967/69, 1970/72 Sport Custom.
Seats have been replaced from lawd only knows what.
On sale day, 352 and 360 engines magically become 390's! Measure the stroke to determine what size it is.
352/360 = 3.50" / 390 = 3.78."
Factory installed 4WD V8's: 1965/67 352 2V / 1968/76 = 360 2V / 1977/79 = 351M & 400, 2V's only available.
Has a 3 spoke "Sport" steering wheel, introduced in 1977 Passenger Cars, 1978 F100/350's, Bronco's and Econolines.
Has backup lamps, not offered until 1967. The lenses and bodies are the same: 1967/72 Stylesides, 1967/77 Bronco's, 1969/74 Econolines.
These lamps bolt right on without mods, but what is being used to activate them is?
Step Bumper is genuine Ford, could be from any 1967/79 Styleside.
Outside mirrors and styled wheels are aftermarket.
I really liked the truck lines and appearance when we were doing body work on it, but function over finesse sometimes has to happen. We were sick of being out in the cold pushing snow on a Gravely tractor. The heater on this truck has one speed high (low speed is broken), and works extremely well!
I will try to get pictures of the axle tags, and the transfer case when I can and post those pictures up also. The transmission is a 4 speed (3+granny).
I need to find some pictures of what this truck looked like original if anyone has any direct side on, and head/rear on shots I would appreciate it. I can then clip them for and use it for photoshopping. Thanks again for all the information and I will post the other pics up soon!

Edit: on the seats, I was told they were from a Mazda. They are actually pretty comfortable and I wouldn't mind keeping them but whoever mounted them should be examined. All thread (1/4") through the floor for the front and bolted in the back. If I keep them they will be mounted correctly with home made brackets with 5/8" bolts minimum.
