just got an interceptor scan guage haven't installed it yet,but was wondering, iv'e got, trans temp. boost, & pyro on the x monitior, was looking to watch, oil temp / coolent temp, on the interceptor mainly ,if you also watch these do you think oil temp. is accurrate enough to watch the spread. just ask because on an old thread oil temp accurcey was a question. tag on the back of the guage cnf-501v3.7 revision 12/12/10 and how do you do the buzz test and what does it tell you? thanks for any input. THIS PLACE ROCKS! (thats from an old fart)
thanks npccpartsman, i did a search here and found some favorable (for the most) reviews on an old 7.3 fourm,a link to aero forces's tech fourm brought up some questions on oil temp.accurency for the 7.3 just wondering if they worked it out on the 6.0,seemed like they were trying, its a standerd 2 1/16" round guage, to obd port you can ck. it out @ aeroforcetech.com
First I do not have one yet but I plan on getting one soon, it does not seem to be a big hit with the 6.0 side for some reason, maybe just too many options out there and for cheaper, as far as accuracy I would think it would be just as accurate as the scangauge 2 as it is an obd2 product just like the scangauge, the buzz test is just for diagnosing a weak injector, it won't tell you anything through the gauge it will just Initiate the injectors to buzz, you should hear all 8 then 1-8 in order and you just listen to the sound of them. If one sounds weaker buzzing is suspect. Please post up some info on this thing, I am especially wanting to know the alert settings apparently you can set it to light up when a certain parameter is met ie the coolant goes over 250 . But you can tell it when to alert u. As a person that has way too many gauges, I either need a gauge to watch the road while I drive or a gauge to watch the gauges
