no turbo spool

I have noticed the last two days that my turbo is no longer spoiling up. It was that it would only spool at 2500+ rpm. Now I have noticed no spool and rpm at 60 mph is about 400 rpm less than before. Is this a sign of dying or dead turbo? 1997 f250 7.3 - 4:11 gears 5speed.

are you getting alot of black smoke, IIRC when you unplug the turbo its like following a cummins. I might be mistaken. Best way to check IMOP is to take the orange boot off turbo and see how much play is in the shaft, check for chipped fins, and if you can spin it freely.

not sure if that s a turbo problem.... But Just check the play in the shaft only takes a few seconds if you have a nut driver and a light. I just did it took me five minutes. if you have access to it at this time.

White smoke is probably just a GPR or maybe a bad GP or two.

You should probably define "spooling up" better, so we have an idea if your getting on it, or if your talking about every day driving.

How are you measuring your boost?

Yea white smoke driving into norm temp. Glow plugs and relay recently replaced. No I got on it today 2800-3200 no sound from the turbo. I have no boost gauge so I don't know about boost. I used to be able to hear and "feel" the turbo now no hear and not really any difference in feel of acceleration.

Yes... But it isn't making the air sound at cold temps like it used to.

Autozone sells a sunpro boost gauge I think is 40 the last time I looked. T it into the map line and see what you got. Like a college teacher I had said the numbers never lie. It will take all the guess work out of it.

Totally agree with the above, but on the way to the parts store, unplug the MAP sensor and see if you can notice a difference.

this may sound stupid, but here goes, check your air cleaner, get some diesel clean (POWER SERVICES)and dump it in your fuel canister (when the truck is warmed up) then run it to clean your injectors. On mine I could sure here the turbo after that (for some reason). If your ebpv is closed i don't think it would have any power, but maybe that's it.
