you still have to be under sometype of warranty. for a diesel it would have to be 3/36 or 5/100 depending on what warranty you want.

Your new warranty also starts on the day that you sign the papers. Therefore you want to wait till the day before your current warranty expires to sign or you will lose some of the time on the current warranty.

Great info I bet some folks dont relize this

So lets say if you had 100K on it would you have been able to get another ESP plan

I would think at 100K miles they would not reup the warrenty because the higher failure rate after that point. Maybe Higher failure rate isnt the right words Really ment Higher RISK

I don't know, however I could have gone 5 years 60,000 miles but the cost was going to get higher when based on a yearly average. 5/60 was the max allowed.

I disagree Cheezit. At that price, you have to assume that his truck is going to require more than $500 per year in repairs. Considering that he puts very few miles on the truck, and considering that it would have be a serious failure to go over the amount of the warranty- it seems like a bad deal to me.

But of course, with a 6.0, it is a roll of the dice. One cracked head and he is ahead. You probably know more than me about the odds of a catastrophic failure. -Mike

Can one also be eligible if they are currently covered by an ESP?

Going ESP to ESP...

Don't look at it year to year. One year I had a bed plate, next year a rms and last year coolers. Add them up. The coolers alone took care of the bill and they did stc fitting and blue spring upgrade free since they were already there.

Are you only able to do this once? In your initial post you indicated this was the last time you could do it.

My original Ford ESP was purchased in 2006 for my '05 PSD and that carried me to Nov. 20011. The cost was $2600 with zero deductible. I would guess that I had over $2000 worth of service covered by the ESP. I have less then 60,000 miles on the '05 and was able to buy another 5 year ESP that covers my truck until 2016/118,000 miles. To purchase an ESP after 60,000 miles, certain plans are not available. Call Mike at Ford ESP and he can advise you what is available. The cost of this Premium plan was $3,100 with an $100 deductible. I know this is a lot of money for piece of mind, but knowing I can go to any Ford dealership around the country for repair is important for me. With one year remaining I plan to sell and go to the F 150 gaser. The ESP can be transfered to a new owner for a $75 fee which will be an enticement for the sale of my '05. I would imagine that some serious expensive service is waiting for me as I approach the 100,000 mile mark on my '05. Mike

'05 Lariat srw, cc, ARE premium cap, bilstein shocks all else stock.

I will add that the esp also comes with rental car and roadside assistance. Considering the cost of diesel parts and labor, for any diesel, it's really not a bad deal. I can wrench but for 100 deduct why?

With the way they nickle and dime you on deductibles for every little problem usually in the $100 to $500 market I used my money towards fully bulletproofing my baby. May be a gamble but I've been burned by extended warentee's before. $2100 on my Liberty never had one claim. $1800 on my Toyota no claims. Did have three claims with the 6.0 all under the original warentee. Thought I'd try my luck this time as I do run a tuner and other mods which may be claims for them to void it.

I've had over $3,000 in extended warranty repairs on the wifes Lexus not counting 4 recalls. It's all a gamble no matter what you buy. Do you feel lucky today?

With all the Ford refusing warranty repairs activity in the 6.7 forum, I can only wonder how will they handle warranty repairs with the ESP plan?

BTW... I've been a supporter of the ESP plan when owning a diesel powered truck.
