I just bought a Holley 0-4412c 500CFM reman/refurb carb. I want to ditch the stock intake manifold whereby adding HP and decreasing overall weight. The only problem im running into is, the only intake i can find is a Edelbrock Performer at almost $300. I would probably be able to swing that but im not sure the Holley carb i just bought will fit it. Can anyone shine some light on this for me?? I would appreciate it very much.
From my limited research, it looks like ill either have to get a 4 barrel carb and alum intake, or put the 2 barrel on the stock intake and save save save $$$ for another time. No one makes a stock aluminum 2bbl replacement?????
Shedding 50lbs on a nearly three ton truck is pretty negligible, the factory cast iron "S" and "T" intakes flow just as well as the Perfomer and can be had for only $10-20, put your $300 somewhere where it will make a difference, e.g. a decent set of headers, the purdy shiny aluminum parts can always come later.

I bought long tube Hookers already, i want a performer with my new cam and lifter kit i bought, would give me more power down low and the cam/lifter set will kick in about 1500 and run thru 5500 with the intake. But before i had to figure out how i was going to mount a 2bbl to a 4bbl intake. and now i did
I’d go with the Edelbrock Performer and the Edelbrock 1403 4bbl carb. Nice you already have long tube headers on it. Do you know if it’s got a performance camshaft in it? If not, get one of those (0-5000 rpm) - that may change the carb from a 4130 to something else. Do the CFM calculations. You may want to go from a 500 CFM to a 600 CFM. While you’re down there, might as well get a set of aluminum heads.
Personally, I prefer to stay with one manufacturer for these engine upgrades but do as you please.
Although I did go with a little hotter camshaft than I probably should have. (1000-5000) but I thought the Comp Cams Extreme Energy kit was a pretty good deal since it came with a set of better springs and lifters plus the timing chain assembly.
Although it should be done and done by now (10 years ago) it's still interesting to pull this up in case the OP can let us know what was finally done. Whether using a 2bbl or 4bbl carb, and the results.
I've got a Performer intake and a 2bbl adapter from Edelbrock with EGR adapter to keep all the smog on it when being tested. Can easily swap to a 4bbl when desired. Or, a TBI setup hopefully soon to see how that compares.
