Crazy ice storm its like a warzone here. over a foot of snow Everyone is without power for like a week. powerlines down on every road. Trees down on every road. too many people driving cars making me pull over into the snow plow and having to 4x4 out so they can get around. Lots of roads to clear & people to pull out.
Thank you for helping me get back on the road it is so nice put about 100 miles on my truck today and she dident skip a beat. ITS nice !!
It has never ran so smooth
Yall have had some insane weather there for sure. All that snow and then ice on top of that. Geez.
Duke--sounds like it's time to go into the wrecker business. You could make enough $$$ to buy some insane mods for your truck. Just be careful.
It was insane. But all I had to do was drive from Portland to Seattle and back during all of that. The folks who live up there, like Duke and most of my relatives, will contend with it for a few more days.
I was thankful to all the folks up in that area for staying home instead of being out in it. It made my job a little easier!
As for a towing business, chains, winch and a strap or 2 could of earned some decent cash. But it is short lived up there.
Stay warm Duke, good luck with the power, and enjoy the Powerstroke!
Two years ago we had two big storms within a week and ended up with something like 24 inches of snow on the ground. People had told me that dually's suck in snow. I put a bunch of cinder blocks in the back, flipped the switch to 4x4 and away I went. Only twice did I get stuck and that was because I got cocky and took it where the snow built up under the frame. I am sure the Dodges and Chevy's are fine (never driven either in snow) but I can say from first hand experience that Super Duties are awesome in it.
I m way up north from you Duke, in Mount Vernon. We got almost a foot, but it is disappearing rapidly today..the temperature is rising rapidly. Thankful that we did not get hit as hard as you folks down south. Gulluk with your diggin' out!
A few pictures of the days of snow and freezing rain in Duke's area. The picture with the back of a semi is in Olympia, Wa. (Wednesday) The picture of the street is Rainier Avenue in Seattle. Most of what you see on the road is freezing rain and snow. (Thursday) The other pictures are of my truck covered in ice.
