Did a middle seat swap. Now Issues

I installed a middle seat for my F350, as i didnt like the center console. I have an issue. I got the seat installed but i had to take the arm rests off the seat. Theirs are small metal pole where the armrest use to go. How do i remove this? IF i try lifting up the middle seat so someone can actually use the seat that metal tab will tear up the seat! Heres a pict!

Any ideas???

It probably unbolts from the frame, but you'll need to remove the seat cover to see anything.

I believe when people did this in the past they had to cut that bar off with a sawzall.

I know with my leather seats it isn't that bad to get the seat cover off. There is just a couple of plastic grooves that interlock. You squeeze them together to get them to unlock and then the seat cover can slide up.

It is part of the frame. You will have to cut it off to remove it. You should have gotten the matching seats to accompany the middle jump seat. After you remove the post you will have a ugly hole in the material to contend with as well. The are held in place with hog rings or plastic friction type clips on the bottom of the frame rail. Also it will either have a hook and loop strips sewn into the cover to maintain its lumbar and bolster support and shape that the cover needs to be loosened from.
