I am at a loss on this one!!! I recently put in a set of stage I injectors (used with 5,000 miles) in the truck. finished everything started up and purged the air, changed the oil and drove to work the next day. At the fuel station I noticed the oil was high, thought I over filled it so drained some out and drove home. 60 miles later the oil was 1 quart high!!
Ok so I thought I cut an oring during the install. pulled them back out changed the orings, new crush washers, torque everything extra careful, all back together and drove to work the next day. same thing, 50 miles and the oil is quart high. Coolant is obvious in oil, the oil smells funny, so it has to be fuel, but where??
Where does the fuel reach a point that it can overpower the hpo besided in the injector? Thanks for any input
no, no smoke. There is a slight tap at cold start up but goes away when warm. Truck runs great. I talked to Jim @ Rosewood and will be sending them up to him to go though and put some 80% nozzles on.
i just wanted to be sure that it was something with the injectors before I did this.
Coolant is obvious in oil,
If you have coolant in oil, most common cause is oil cooler orings / seals.. I don't believe coolant can get in via injectors or sleeves.
