How do you read the graph when doing a power balance? Just ran a power balance and my graph dropped a little and raised a little (never above or below 200). What do I take from that?
Also, any other hints would be helpful on how to use the software for the 6.0L?

On the contribution graph, your looking for the cylinder that isn't equal to the rest (assuming you've got problem). When mine cracked an injector last fall it was barely 200 below the rest. But when I cut it out...the truck didn't act any different; not so when I disabled any of the others. Is the truck showing a contribution/balance code?
The only other hint is make sure yours is up-to-date. I understand there's been a recent update, but I haven't had a chance to check for mine. I've been told you'll need the serial number from your OBD adapter to get it.
I just received AE on Saturday. Should be up-to-date. Not throwing any contribution/balance codes. Just chasing an intermittent misfire at idle and an intermittent jerking/shudder at 45-60 MPH - see thread titled 'Jerking/Shuddering Confusion'

Do you have an injector(s) that appears to be lower than the rest when you run the contribution test?
Yeah, you should be up-to-date on the AE...though it wouldn't hurt to check. Yours might have been sitting on a shelf for a little while before it shipped.
The graph was always changing. Hard to tell. If it dipped or spiked it wasn't for very long. And it appeard to be across the board, not focused on one or two injectors.
i havent messed with it enough on this, but if you are able to shut off one injector while looking at the graph it should give you an idea as tho what it looks like, i just don't know how fast you can swith screens or if it is even possible

It should be somewhat stable. For the sake of saving a little time here (would take a bit to read through 3 pages of post)...what all have you done trying to track this down? As far as figuring out which injector(s) is causing the shudder, I'd get a buddy to drive the truck while your plugged in with the AE with the contribution/blance screen open. When the truck studders...and assuming it's caused by an injector the AE will show you which one it is almost instantly.
Have you done both the KOEO and KOER test with AE yet?
BLADE just had me checking things with my SGII. Like MAP, BARO, EBP. FICM voltages. We talked about EGR valves - I had unplugged mine and the truck appeared to run better but that didn't last.
I'll try the driving with the power balance running and see what I find. It's just a matter of luck of having the truck shudder though. Doesn't do it all the time. Seems to have gotten better actually.
So can the AE do a balance test while cold? And it can do an injector cutout? I'm interested in getting one soon but while another member was running balance test it wouldn't do it with the motor not at operating temp.. Any tips on maybe making that happen...
I guess it could be possible that it's not updated

As far as I know it will do a balance test regardless of engine temperature. The only place that I'm aware of where engine temperature comes into play is when your checking the delta of EOT/ECT....which the AE will graph for you side-by-side.
The same goes for disabling and injector...it will do it regardless of engine temperature. I'd check to make sure yours is up-to-date if it won't let you do a contribution test if/when the engine is cold.
I think imma buy one of these shortly! I really want one but I am pretty sure I need an injector just don't know which one... I'll probably take it to ford for now and have them run the tests on it.. Then hopefully I'll have a bad injector so I'm no longer chasing this invisible demon...
To stay on topic here...
Say my truck is running fine what other things can AE do that arent strictly diagnostic.
