Using Auto Enginuity
How do you read the graph when doing a power balance? Just ran a power balance and my graph dropped a little and raised a little (never above or below 200). What do I take from that?
Also, any other hints would be helpful on how to use the software for the 6.0L?
Yes, I have the Ford Enhanced Bundle.

The only other hint is make sure yours is up-to-date. I understand there's been a recent update, but I haven't had a chance to check for mine. I've been told you'll need the serial number from your OBD adapter to get it.

Yeah, you should be up-to-date on the AE...though it wouldn't hurt to check. Yours might have been sitting on a shelf for a little while before it shipped.

Have you done both the KOEO and KOER test with AE yet?

BLADE just had me checking things with my SGII. Like MAP, BARO, EBP. FICM voltages. We talked about EGR valves - I had unplugged mine and the truck appeared to run better but that didn't last.
I'll try the driving with the power balance running and see what I find. It's just a matter of luck of having the truck shudder though. Doesn't do it all the time. Seems to have gotten better actually.

So can the AE do a balance test while cold? And it can do an injector cutout? I'm interested in getting one soon but while another member was running balance test it wouldn't do it with the motor not at operating temp.. Any tips on maybe making that happen...
I guess it could be possible that it's not updated

The same goes for disabling and injector...it will do it regardless of engine temperature. I'd check to make sure yours is up-to-date if it won't let you do a contribution test if/when the engine is cold.

I think imma buy one of these shortly! I really want one but I am pretty sure I need an injector just don't know which one... I'll probably take it to ford for now and have them run the tests on it.. Then hopefully I'll have a bad injector so I'm no longer chasing this invisible demon...
To stay on topic here...
Say my truck is running fine what other things can AE do that arent strictly diagnostic.
