The text for his pictures is off to the side. "Got mine from apsisusa.com. Not cheap but I like it"

Looks sharp.

As for hunting down the steering wheel you want; check out: Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market Very handy site for locating parts for your X.

So I know we have got radio controls to work, but has anyone actually got the HVAC to work with it? If we can have both, then I am going to go for the swap too

Probably been asked already, but I have the CC on the stick on the column. What all is needed to get the CC on the wheel to work?

I know that this may be an older post and I'm new, but I need to know where you got the wood trim for the bottom on the seat.

Sorry I'm late to the game here but to get this correct - any pre '05 Navigator or Expedition steering wheel is a direct bolt on for the Excursion?

If there are stereo steering wheel controls, will they work if it wasn't originally an option on your Ex.

No, '98-'02 Navigator. Navi was redesigned in 2003. Somewhere I heard that the '98-'00 Navigator wheels were wired differently than the '01-'02, but I haven't confirmed that. It was recommended that I get an '01-'02 for my '02+ Ex, so I did, even though I had to modify. My '02 Blackwood wheel in my '05 was a direct swap too.

Yes, if you have steering wheel controls, it should all be plug and play.

See here to make a Navi wheel with radio/fan controls work in an Ex with just cruise: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...xs-how-to.html

See here for a direct swap with an Ex that also had all the controls:
