hey guys got a problem with truck.
went to start it the other day and it shut right off and wouldnt start back up. no sputtering it just died. went throught all the basics found nothing. hooked it to scanner and found 0 psi HPO. thought it was kind of weird to have 0, unplugged icp and still no start. checked HPOP res and it was full, so i pulled one of the plugs of the side if the head on cranked truck and zero i mean ZERO oil came out. cranked twice for 20 seconds. pulled gear cover off behind backpressure sensor and bolt was tight. gear was turning. swaped IPR,s and still nothing. i wouldnt think ipr cound dump enough back to oil pan to make none come out of heads right? can something internal break in these pumps? thanks i advance for help
I've heard where oil will just barely dribble out the hose when disconnected. There seemed to be a rash of those a while back with some reman pumps. Your HPOP isn't a reman by chance is it?

i assume its factory. i bought it with 62000 on it.
I had one do that after it self destructed! I'm guessing your using a scan gauge. What does the duty cycle show? Have you tried unplugging the icp? It should default to an adjusted chart and look like it has pressure. Just curious if everything else is working like it should.

I didn't look at duty cycle. And yea I unplugged icp. Still nothing. its gotta be something inside that pump a drive plate or something. I was just wondering if any one has heard of such problem
Well I'm going to go ahead and put a pump on it. I figured I might as well put a aftermarket one on it I was thinking a adrenaline. any thoughts? I'll let y'all know if I find any thing broke inn pump when I pull it off thanks guys
The ipr may not even be able cause your symptoms but lets see if we can get a second opinion before spending your money on the hpop. This is when I fall back on my mechanical gauges.
Ok now that I re read your first post your probably right. Since your truck won't be running pull the hpop res off and see if the screen filter is full of brass shavings. Mine was when my 1st srp1 failed. By the way did you check your options on hoops? Search T500. And I think it's even a lil cheaper!

Is that screen before the res or inn between res and pump. cause I pulled the full plug off and cranked it over and oil spewed out so it def is getting supply inn the res
