That is lp oil your getting. The screen is between the res and the front cover. About 6 bolts and a couple sensors to unplug.
So could I be getting plenty of lp to the Res and if that screen was clogged it wouldn't go to inlet of hpop? Makes sense I'll check it but I would that I would of been noticing power loss at wot. The truck ran perfect before hand. It just shut off. Well see
Not what I was getting at. Just curious if your pump did fail that there might be evidence in that screen. In mine I found lots if ground up brass pieces.
well just got truck running sunday. i went with the srp1.1. waited almost two months for it. put it on and still no start. pulled line off head cranked over and pleanty of oil. but when i took plug off on oil rail nothing. so i knew it must have internal leak. i put shop air on the right head and sure enough i could hear it blowing under valve cover. pulled cover off and couldnt believe what i saw. there 2 plugs that go into HPO system i assume there for machining head one inbetween injector 2&4 and one between 6&8 well the back one laying in the bottom beside valve spring!. o ring missing. i suspect it wasnt tightened from the factory or they left the oring off causing it to loosen...
just goes to show make 100% sure the problem is what you think it is. 10 more min of diagnosis and i could of had truck fixed 3 months ago and saved 1100 dollars.
Does it look like any of the injectors might have been replaced at some point? Removing those plugs to drain the oil out of the rail during injector replacement is fairly common.
I know the miles are low for an injector failure, but the miles are low for plugs to be falling out too. Either way, glad you found the issue.

More then likely someone worked on the injectors or cups at some point and that is FORD standard procedure for draining the oil rails...
Much prefer to just pull the back injectors and let it all drain into those... Then purge it out and move on.
All the injectors were identical. I bought truck with 62000 soi'm not sure. weird thing is o ring was missing. Oh yea and the plug put a nice dent on valve cover when it shot out. I am very happy with the srp1.1 so far
Yea cause I remember trying to get them out to rule out leaking o-rings and they were so tight I was afraid to strip em so I left em alone. But nice find. And good luck with that pump. Let us know how it does.
Dang, I just reread the whole thread. I can't help but think back that more diognosing could of been done. I can't believe I didn't suggest dead heading the pump for testing. Like this vid shows.

Yea I did dead head the ipr and turned it over. But I pulled one of those 5/8 plugs on to of oil rail. I guess since its up higher than the ones under the valve cover the leak was just to big to fill oil rail that high. I should of pulled the line off. Oh well.
