I'm making my list to start collecting parts for power steering on my 62 straight axle, which has a 292 Y block. I have a good list of parts so far, with the exception of the power steering pump. I know that brackets are a big issue on adding p/s to the Y blocks, and you have to be creative. So with that in mind, what would be the best choice of power steering pump?

If you can find a 1957/62 Ford Passenger Car 292/312, you can get the P/S pump, brackets, outer crankshaft pulley from it.
The pump is an Eaton, has the reservoir mounted atop the pump. Eaton pumps were used from 1953 thru 1964 on all FoMoCo vehicles, and on 1965 Mustang's w/a generator.
Try: Big M Automotive in Williams CA. Mike builds destruction derby cars, has dozens of 1950/60's Fords in his wrecking yard.

Thanks for pointing me to Big M. If anyone should have it, they should.
Thanks Bill.
