So are you guys replacing the fittings at the engine oil rail and hpop also, or just the lines?
Just the lines, theres no need to replace the fitting if there still in good shape.
This reminds me Ive still got to replace the the other line, I only replaced one when it went out, funds wernt there for both. I had mine pop a hole in the center of the old line

Don't wait too long. I said the same thing when I popped one going across northern NV.
the second one popped 2 months later heading east across AZ.
i went with OEM. Ford has updated them. one really nice thing is no more wirebraid to tear your arms up when you get close. They are all coated with a "plastic outer shell".
I'm sure you could have a local Hyd shop build some. even eliminate the quik couplers, but I think the OEM is fine. Its not a matter or bigger/better hoses, its more of replacing a 10+ yr old hose that spends its life holding high temp oil at up to 3000 PSI
both of mine were catastrophic failures, one blown right out the side, the other blew the retainer ring out of the quick coupler.
quick way to dump over a gal of oil ALL OVER the engine bay!

Yes its quite messy, Robby only lost a gallon and a half, but from the trail of oil on the interstate, It looked like at least 3. ill have a new set on my truck before my trip back up to Nc.
i bought a set of the new type from clay last week, got them in my spare parts kit in the truck. that thing is getting heavy. i asked clay if the blowing of the hoses was a milege thing,or age. he said ford says 100k IIRK, but these trucks are lasting so long that its the age. after what franko72 just went through, i think i'll move them from the spare kit to the engine. i'm always fixing something before it breaks. the brite side is, because of FTE i can.
