I have read the stickys and searched threads but still have ?
My block heater does not appear to be working.
99.5 7.3 in a F-350
I get 15.2 ohm's @ the heater element.
I get 15.4 ohm's through the cord with it connected to the element.
I get 120 volts where the cord plugs to the element with it plugged in.
I let it stay plugged up for 1 1/2 hrs and I can not feel any area that feels warm.
This trouble shooting was due to the fact that the other morning 22* truck would not start evem with the heater plugged in all night.
I dont want to just throw parts at it. Is there anything I am missing?
I know that I need to replace all glow plugs but was trying to use the heater untill I get time. I don't drive it all that often. Thanks in advance.
Note: Above 40* it starts fine.

Reason: Title change
Just to rule out the obvious, the electrical plug that you are using did not trip the breaker on the house, right? A neighbor's truck tripped the breaker because he was plugging into a GFI outlet in his garage.
