Brake troubles

2008, f250, Gas. Brake pedal travels waaaay too far for my comfort. Took it in and they replaced the master cylinder. I didn't think it was any better, but the service tech. said it was fine. He has one and mine was way better than his. Where should I start? Vacuum booster or brake bleed or rear brake adjusting. Any input is appreciated.

First off, are your brakes in good shape, no excessive wear on pads or rotors? If all is good, I'd start with a thorough bleeding. Make sure all air bubbles are removed. I'd start there before tearing into things.

Yep. Pads and rotors are fine. Trucks only got 16000 miles on it. I will start with bleeding. Thanks.

Definitely start with bleeding. When you do the master cylinder, you have to bleed to all 4 calipers, and I have seen mechanics try and take a short cut and claim that you didn't need to because they left the fluid in the line. True enough, but when removing the master cylinder, you introduce air into all 4 lines, and bubbles can quickly work their way down.
