My 130lb German Sheperd tied in the back, in the summer he has a large golf unbrella for shade, that comes out of the stake pocket with water of course, plus the deturents i dont realy want to put on the internet. People get a kick out of it. And at home garage, German Sheperd, deturents, plus a side by side 12 ga. I think a tracking device would be a good addition, and i realy need to get theft insurance.
I once spent 20 minutes trying to figure out why my MG would not start until I finally remembered that I had flipped the switch that turned of my fuel pump. My anti-theft device even kept me from driving away.
I am installing an air horn and want to connect it to a button on the dash marked: "Start". Would love to see the look on their face when the horn goes off!!!
If anyone else asks about it have them push it then ask; "Did it give you a 'Start'? Yes? Then it's labeled correctly."

Maybe better marked as "STARTle"
Great idea! A guy I know has a streetrod f1. It has 3 or 4 train horns in the bed...LOL when he airs up and blows them suckers!!! anybody within viewing distance jumps and I am pretty sure there are some dirty diapers running around!
It is the funniest thing I have ever seen! People shake, fall, scream, eyes are huge, distorted faces! mean but hilarious!!!
That's a fantastic idea ! Maybe a way to hook it to the car alarm so it doesn't go off when you let go of the button. One if those key blanks they use to make it look like the other ***** would make it even easier to fool someone.
My thoughts are if you have replaced your carb with something that has a electric chock. You could remove the chock cable and install another headlight switch you pull it out and your starter power goes thru the switch when it's pulled out it lets power going to the starter. If the switch isn't pulled out then no power goes to starter!

My horn consists of two long trumpets (like you'd see on top of a semi truck) mounted under the hood. Since I have a thermostatic choke I wired the horn switch there. It does give a start when someone (ie The Wife) hits it by mistake.
Having a four speed w/manual clutch, no power steering, and push button start instead of turn key start, someone's going to have a hard time hopping in a driving off. Never mind that my truck's not a common color and most everybody around knows that's Pastor Jim's truck. If somebody did try to drive it off people would recognize, but that's also the benefit of living in small town USA.
When I lived in KC I knew a guy with an F-350 dually who was a repo-man. You'd never guess it by looking at his truck, but he had a setup under the bed that could lift and haul anything in less than one minute. No lights, no markings, nothing distinguishable at all. But, all he had to do was work a couple switches in the cab and watch the video feed from the camera that was part of the setup. Never had to get out of his truck on site (which is important in certain areas of KC). He could back in, lift and haul to a safe distance before chaining up and moving on...and he didn't give a rip if the drive wheels were squealing as he went.
Point is, what you have can be easily taken by those who want it bad enough. The good thing is, as popular as our Bonus Built trucks are, they aren't exactly major export commodities. I've read stories here on FTE of trucks being stolen and then being recovered years later b/c they can be so distinctive...and that's probably the best theft deterrent. Make your truck yours...to stand out from the crowd, and it'll be less likely to disappear in a crowd.
