So heres the deal, i just went to start my truck up cause its been sitting too long. Some douche did the classic peanut butter under the handle, however he did it like a jackass and i saw it sticking out so it didnt even get me. Anyway like 2months ago my truck was egged. this is confusing cause nobody hates me. Ive been going to school a lot so i havent had time for a social life, therefore i havent met new people that would dislike me for some reason. For pretty much my whole life i know of one dude that never liked me. He kept trying me in the past and we eventually did sorta fight. It was more like him swinging, missed, i tackled him, hit him once and he stopped. So before i jump to conclusions i was wondering if it would be expensive to get like one of those small security cameras and set it up in my truck. Once i get proof that its him im going to slash his tires, and brake his windows, when he comes running outside im going to then proceed to brake his nose and jaw. Thanks for the help

 

Whether he deserves it or not, if you do what you said you would do, he would wind up the winner since you would be legally in the wrong, even if you had tapes of him doing what he did. I have been on Grand Juries where we worked on exactly this sort of mischief(legal term) and the perps(you) get hit really bad by the law.

As far as the cameras, essentailly you either need a portable camera recorder unit which I am guessing is a few hundred dollars at least, or you need a camera transmitter combo and a recorder in your house. Once again several hundred dollars. I have seen just the mini cameras for something like $100 and up.

This kind of problem just escalates if you retaliate, so to handle it best just catch him in the act, get evidence and then file a police complaint against him. The hassle he goes thru will probably cure him of that problem.

You can buy a small 12v security camera system for cars and store a (12v) VCR in your car trunk and activate it off a silent alarm. Total cost will be about $500-$600. Northern Tools sold them at one time, check out the security car sites on the web.

You can also use a battery and inverter in the truck to run a VCR and X-10 set up off batteries for a bit cheaper.
