older vin decoder

everywhere i search it say the year or that i need more digits, any help? thanks!!

Not here on FTE

11 digit VIN: 1956/80 / 17 digit VIN: 1981 to date.

F66 = F600 4WD (gas).

C = 370 2V

V = Kentucky Truck Assembly Plant.

EE1822 = 1979.

thanks! no trans designation though, and there is no spec decal on door post or glove box

No VIN of any FoMoCo vehicle...of any year, contains the TRANS code.

1963/80: The TRANS code is stamped on the metal Warranty Plate, riveted/located on the left door face below the latch.

The Safety Standards Cerification Label is glued to the B pillar (door post) below the striker plate. But it doesn't have the TRANS code printed on it until 1981.

Is your truck a 4 speed? A coupla minutes ago (or thereabouts), I decoded the TRANS code of another 1979 F600 w/a 370 2V ~ TRANS code P = Borg Warner T-19 4 Speed Manual Transmission.

no its a 5 spd, thinking clark 106?, I know the vin doesn't but cant find the sticker anywhere

There is no "sticker" that has the TRANS code listed on it until 1981.

Did'ja look on the left door face below the latch for the metal Warranty Plate that has the TRANS code listed on it?

This plate is riveted to the door face, but mighta been painted over, making it difficult to see.
