I went there and got it. Thank you for all of your advice.

As far as using my weapon to convince it to behave, I have decided to just put it out of its misery. It has served me well for 11 years.

Not knowing much about that printer I do know that some documents have margin/boundaries that are set outside of the printer limits. But normally a popup opens and lets you know that. If you okay it then it will print and not print the whole document. Printer settings need to be adjusted to compensate for that, or the document margin/boundaries changed. Most of the time I just select Fit area on the printer. So instead of just clicking the print icon, I click FILE then Print
Preview and you should see if its going to print the whole thing. If not you can click FILE then PRINT and then adjust the print settings. However Furyus1's suggestion could be the answer for you. Not sure...just another suggestion.

Thank you for your words ... but this has been happening for a while now and has just gotten worse ... and once unpluged and replugged it won't even move now. It didn't matter what I tried to print or if I went to file and print or just the print icon, or whether it was in microsoft word, or in an email or whatever. No go. So I just shot it and will replace it. If anyone wants to come to its funeral you are welcomed.

i just did the same thing with the lexmark i was using for 5 years. it started by using a ink cartridge every month. then one day it decided to only print the left side of the page. i threatened it it did not listen. so i put it out of its misery with one well placed shot and replaced it with a HP wireless printer.

best move i ever made. i can now print from the laptop without storing it to a flash drive and then plugging the flash drive into the desktop to print.

You could have shared the Lexmark from the desktop and used it from the laptop as well but it sure is nice having a network printer. They are very affordable anymore.

Lexmark is $$$ for ink.
