Normally I wouldn't ask this but I had both my dogs get out today while at work. One was found and is at the pound but the other was not able to be caught and is on the run on his own. Please pray for him to return home soon.
fourtunately he is wearing a collar with a tag and he is microchipped. Unfortunately he has been a stray before and is extremely warey and skittish of people he does not know. He and my other dog got out earlier and some people saw my other dog, they were able to get her and they tried to get him but they couldnt. She was dropped off at the local animal shelter right at closing and for some reason my phone didnt ring when they called, but i got the message from them. She is safe and sound, but he is still out there somewhere. Has me sick to my stomach. Probably sleeping on the couch with the front door unlatched incase he comes home. The one thing i am holding out hope for is the fact that he knows where home is, and in past times when he has gotten out during the day he has taken himself on a walk and come back home....this time though it seems different and is what has me worried
Well, short of a GPS tracking collar, you've provided him with the necessary ways of getting home. Hard for you to do more than that.
I've been in your shoes, and it's sure scary. Buddy, whose picture is my avatar, still lives with me at age 14+. When he was lost, I, too, was beside myself!
THANK YOU FOR THE PRAYERS! Was pulling back into my street after driving around damn near the whole town, and what do you know, theres my pup trotting down the road like nothing happened. Thank you all, the power of prayer is unmatched!
Ill get some pictures up shortly. They are shepherd mixes. Both of them are pound dogs originally. Not exactually sure of breeds but have a pretty good guess on one of them
the one on the left is my girl, Sasha, who I believe is German Shepherd and Lab mix, and the other one is my boy, Lucas, who as far as my best guess is either some combination of anatolian shepherd and huskey or german shepherd and great dane.
