Hello all. New guy here. I own a auto repair shop and was looking for a "service" truck to take on the road for some mobile repair work and such. What do ya'll think of this?

Not sure at this point but doubt it needs a converter, has a simple sensor or wiring issue of some sort causing it to hold TCC lockup when it shouldn't.
A failing/failed PSOM or VSS or connection between them, simple as computer not receiving correct information for example.
The TCC does lock and hold from the sounds of it, and does let go if manually shifted, be different if it was other way around!
If was near me and I was interested I go in with an offer of 1500 using that "issue" as a fairly serious mark against it lowering its value. Done so without any fear it turn out to be more then a minor issue to repair once I had it at home.

First thing I'd suspect based on year would be the speed sensor, sensor driven by the speedo cable. And or its connection with computer. Might turn out be more then that/something else but still doubt its a failing of the TC itself.
Say solenoid issue or harness to trans itself damaged/loose.
89 first year for E4OD, my "manual" (uses term lightly) makes no mention of it!

The first truck sold before I got freed up to actually see it in person. I have seen this truck for myself and it runs out great and drives goos for a 20 year old 1 ton 4x. The miles are HIGH, but no signs of any probs. Owner has owned since new in 93. Truck also has a Banks Sidewinder Turbo on it.
What yall think?
