That same exact thing happened to me chump. I confronted the guy. Of course, he denied it while standing right beside the hose he used. He turned beet red and started studdering. I told him if it happened again proof or not I was going beat his ***. It hasnt again so far.
And as far as thieves, I have 22, 380, 9, 45, 7.62, 5.56, and 12 gage loaded and ready...
lol, on that note, while I don't own any guns, I have said before that should some bad guy decide to rob my home while I'm there I will give him the opportunity to give me his unconditional surrender. When that fails, one of us is going to have a very bad day.
About locking doors, my doors are locked even when I'm home. I have heard about about towns where that happens, usually from my southern relatives, but after 34 years of locking my doors at all times I can't imagine ever not locking my doors no matter where I live. And I live in a pretty safe area too.
We have those pathetic losers in our small town. They stole the copper propane line off our house, and have been stealing anything small they can get their hands on.
The cops know what they drive, and their names. They were even caught on tape loading up alluminum from the local machine shop with a forklift. However they have gotten away with everything. Them and their lawyers can go to hell.
Years ago I had gas cans walking away.... but found them down the road empty. Well I put about a quart of gas in one and rest saltwater(from good-ole Gulf of Mexico). Found the can missing the next day out of my truck.
Down the road I found it empty. Went to the store to get more gas so I can ride the ATC, I found the car...... and it comfirmed who I though(he denied it) it was. Well I rounded up a few friends and we took care the the matter.
No more stealing of ANYTHING happened after that and one less fart-can car on the road, guess Gulf of Mexico gas(saltwater) ate up all the fuel lines, injectors and fuel pump!
Seriously, has this world gotten so bad that you can't leave stuff outside your own back door? I took out two jerry cans from my bed to haul yesterday and tucked them against my back door. I went to grab them today and guess what... they're gone. Really???? Thieves suck. That's it, just needed to vent.
for real.. i left my f250 outside of my new warehouse and some ******* stole my mudflaps.. rally? <------------- wtF!!!

Down here in South West Fla, they steal the AC unit when you leave even for a few minutes! A abandon house is usually gutted for the copper wire. Cars were even taken to the scrap yards if they "looked old and non running".
I had a scrapper guy trying to get my 73 Buick once from my back yard. Thankfully a neighbor called the cops when he seen the perp(before I got home) and before I got to "educate" the *&^#^ of his ways..... Just wished the cops were a few minutes late, I was going to stuff him into a hurt locker
Last year I had to leave my house with my kids due to the soon-to-be exwife issues.... Two days after I left, I went back and removed all my ATC's and some important things from the garage(I pad locked it down before I left). The rif-raf my wife and her daughter(step kid) hung out with were pretty pissed I locked the garage door and even more pissed I came back so quickley to retrive the 3-wheelers.
I caught them in the act of unbolting the pad lock off(they ran off for their saftey). I welded that on and ALL bolts in the garage door, took care of that problem. Finished loading the 3-wheelers up and left. Next weekend I went back, those #$%^& ripped off items that would fit out the side door. A double sided key lock on both doors fixed that. But I lost the storm panels and a brand new G3 alternator and other things I cannot rember.
I did run into the punks and I told them when they are 18, I WILL load my bus up and find you $#!ts and you will not like it if anymore things dissapear from my old house.
I had 2 full jerry cans taken in broad daylight in front of my garage door. My son told me some one rang the door bell (he didn't answer) and then must have left with the cans.
A number of years ago my son went to the local skating rink in our Diesel Oldsmobile. While he was there someone siphoned most of the fuel out of it. He noticed a Camaro on the side of the road running like crap and leaving a large cloud of blue smoke. I told him maybe we should go back and "help" the individual with his problem.
Had someone siphon fuel from my 92 once, I sat back and watched him take 10 gallons of #1 offroad premium to put in his isuzu. Also had one punk 16 year old try try F*** with it when I was 17, in my parents driveway at 2 am... Lets just say a p*&#ed off 250lb redkneck covered in blood (I worked in a butcher shop) wielding a M96 with the bayonet attached leaves an impression, punk still runs if I so much as look at him.
On the locking things spending 2 years in detroit for college will teach you to do that, along with messing up a good Maglight (I bent it over someones head when they tried to liberate the Alcolas off my 90).
Anymore if I catch someone stealing around here they will wish for death before the cops get here.

Amen brother. A few years ago around here there was a punk in his late 20's who thought an old man trying to pay for gas in a gas station would make an easy pick pocket victim. Little did the punk know the old man was a former golden gloves boxer and a retired marine. The old man caught on pretty quick and commenced to pummel the punk. When the cops arrived they had to pull the old man off the punk, who was pretty well beaten by then.
Oh we have problems with people stealing gas and parts off our trucks. Had a few people do it and I chased them off. we always leave everything locked. Alot of people have tried to take the whole ladder rack off my 1988 F150 that wasn't a good idea as I had bolted it on and then had my dad throw a bead of weld on it in a few spots so you aren't getting that thing off. I had one guy who knew us try to steal the front and rear bumper off my dad's 1986 and he actually fired up a generator and came in a truck that was louder then you could believe. I caught him in the act of getting the grinder out of his truck as soon as he saw me he took off leaving his truck and generator running we called the cops and they caught him passed out about a mile away. Whats worse is he knew all of our trucks and they were all parked right out front! I hate people who try to steal. They took the fuel pump off our 1987 Plymouth and took bad gas out of our 1985 Chevy Van. The guy who stole that was a friend of my parents who brought the generator over the next day and left it here for us to borrow and I went to check the gas and recognized the smell right away I couldn't do anything about it but really made me mad because I already didn't like him.
