My truck just died while rolling down the road today. Last time this happend I just cleaned the IPR valve out and it has worked up till now (about 2 years ago). I just cant remember exactly how I took it apart and can not find the instructions I used last time.
Also can someone tell me what I would need to do and look for if I hooked my AE up to it.
thank you much
Joe
Found the IPR cleaning instructions. Cleaned up the one off the spare motor and put it in place of the one on my driver. It started but is idleing rough and will not clean out with any pedal. So my question is could the guide screw being to tight cause these symptoms, does a little air get in the system when the IPR is removed, should i maybe check oil level in the res? Doesnt seem like much came out butttttt.
What is next?
If I hook the AE up to it what do i need to look at?
Help please
thank you
Joe
alright problem solved. Another IPR running on the spare right now will have to tare this one down and see what is up. I did notice that the seal around the electrical connector looks like it has been melted or ate up in there (the orange weather seal) what could cause that. It cleaned up after I let it run for a bit. Hooked the AE up and everything past except the switch test and it through all kinds of crap up. Everything else passed KOER and KOEO contribution and buzz and glow plug thank you AE.
Hitting 2400-2550 on ICP kinda curious what my T500 will do when it comes in. Joey said he was going to build it today. Might just get a new IPR to go with it.
Now if I can figure out why this site isnt letting Firefox open all the time for me.
I have no tunes yet. I was pretty much wide open and they where leveling out around 2400+ when I started letting off of it. Is that about right for a good stock HPOP?
I would say ~2800+ psi. Your smaller e99 splits shots should keep your numbers high with stock tuning.
I did have the injectors replaced a year or two ago but honestly dont know what they put in (thats sad) I do have a set of injectors that I just took out of my spare motor not sure what year it is, but pretty sure it is 2000 or later cant read tag on valve cover. What do I need to look at on the block to find year.
Got off track would those injectors do better for me than my E99 if they are splits.
