Gruesome, your Bronco doesnt have it. Its on the "high-tech" ones..efi,pcm,tfi, crazy things like that lol.

Ah thanks for the description, the dizzy is short for distributor, i thought it was the vacuum port on the bottom of the distributor.

can't you still get timing with the truck cranking? try putting a light on it on one of those no-start moments and check what the timing is at while cranking. Not sure if it's possible on EFI, but I use to cheat re-seating the dizzy in my 78 that way.

i'd also guess unless your chain is way off, which wouldn't make sense as it shouldn't run all day just fine.. slipping, which again, I don't think would let it run all day? or .. did you check the distributor gear and make sure it's meshing okay? it might have a chipped tooth
i dunno, I'm guessing it's electrical. Magnetic pickup in the dizzy, computer, tfi or something along those lines honestly.

Number 1 can be anywhere on the cap as long as you know which one it is.
