I didnt realize that the 38R is huge compared to the E99 turbo. I am thinking about stepping up to the 38R also. So is a 38R a complete bolt-in for a L99-03 turbo? Is there anything else that has to be bought like a new tube that runs from the filter to turbo?

Just swap the exhaust outlet over to the turbine housing. New bolts and a 4" compressor inlet hose are included.

Are you changing your injector cups too ? I thought you said you were. Due to the fact that the e99 had issue with cup sealant compound. Also looks like your old pedestal / turbo was leaking oil pretty good. Well keep up the good work and keep the pics coming.

Looks good Wes. I just got done working on mine. Changed the plenums days ago but just got done changing the exhast housing on the stock turbo to 1.0. Made a mistake taking the orginal wheel off this turbo for the WW and striped the nut on the old wheel.
I just got ahead of myself and loosened before pulling the outside housing. Stupid mistake. Next time around I'm installing 38R and 200 sticks. Can't wait.

these tools look like they are made very good i will let you know i should put them in today or tonight i got busy at the shop last night. those are brand new AC ss
