Turbo Rubber Boot Oil Leak

I have been reading up and decieded that for me to get all new boots was a little bit much since we have 5 trucks that would need them because of the leaking oil. I have taking all of them apart and cleaned very well. When I reintalled them I used the "Right Stuff" gasket maker and coated the inside of the tubes so they would seal when the clamps are installed. Do you think this is a bad idea, are would it hurt anything?

I take it you do not want to do the CCV Mod on all the trucks. That would take care of the oil leaking past the boots because there would be no oily vapor introduced to the intake.

If it is compatible with the boots I don't see a problem with using the "Right Stuff" except for making it difficult to get the boots off if you need to. Try it on one truck and if it works then you can do the others.

If you did the CCV Mod on all the trucks then yoiu should not see any oil seeping past the boots (well maybe a little because of what's inside the CAC system, but it should stop eventually). The "Right Stuff" would be unnecessary.

Opps, nonono I DID NOT do the CCV mod. TO much money to do on all are trucks. Just leaving stock for now.... I did clean them all and put the sealent on the boots to try and stop the leak.
