The roads that I frequent are not great for fuel economy. Lots of 70mph roads that are a mile or two long and then a stop sign.

The leveling kit, 35" mud tires, and cutting my air damn is not helping either. 12.2mpg on the computer now.

I have '11 F-350 CC 4x4 dually 3.73's. I consistently get 13-14 in town and 17ish on the Hwy. Double towing my Suites and Harley at 62 I stay around 10.5-11. All these are overhead figures. I use Opti-lube summerblend additive with Amsoil in the crankcase.

These are my numbers as well. Daily driving I am at 16.2. My truck seemed to be stuck at 14-15mpg until I broke 20k miles and then the mileage jumped up.

Regarding the dually fuel mileage: I get around 17-19 on the highway when empty around 65 mph.

Maybe I missed it, but what color is your DRW?

Around town I get 12-14 mph.

On the highway with my 18k# 5er at 75 mph, I get 8.8-9.2 mph. If I slow down, it gets better. But I can't make myself slow down.
The Fiesta is a 2011. I've managed to get as much as 42 with it, but I usually lack the patience to get that. 35 is more typical. It's really been a good car so far, but I'd much rather drive the truck. Going to start driving it again tomorrow.

The truck is Golden Bronze. My wife and I fell in love with an F250 we saw in that color and had to get ours in the same color.

Thanks for all the replies. I feel much better now about the mileage I'm getting. I managed to get the computer to show 16.2 today. Maybe it's getting better.

I don't know if you have gone through a winter with this truck yet but maybe winter diesel is causing the drop? Just a thought.

The SRW trucks will get better, as they have two less tires on the ground, less wind resistance, and more favorable gearing for fuel economy. Mine would see 19-20 on the highway at 60-70 MPH with 3.55s, and many with 3.31s report better than that. There's a reason many semi trucks are going to super-singles...duals are expensive to push down the road!

I agree my truck is a 2022 that i`ve only had for 6 months I have 2,300 miles on it and it gets a consistent 15 MPG around town. I look forward to when the engine is finally broke in and gets better fuel mileage.

Forum reported miles is always reported in a non standard way.

assuming everyone is reporting flat and level driving at 55 mph. Then you have to compare those that have bed covers vs those that don’t. Compare all the 17” rims to 17” rims and not 17” rims to 20” rims. Compare rear axle of 3.3 to 3.3 and. Not 3.3 to 4.1 or 4.3.

I have e 37’s on 22.5’s and get great mpg going down hill and not so great going up hill. Give me any mpg number that is forum reported and I can take a picture of my lie - O - meter saying that.

Resurrection of a 10 year old thread and comparing mileage isn't apples to apples other than the same manufacturer unless your driving a 2012 that the op shows in their public view.

Yes I have a bed cover a factory Ford flipping back cover and 20 inch rims and 3.31 gears, and the numbers I reported are real I`m still getting 19 MPG even after the trip although it will drop when the regen hits.

That is an old wives tale, the amount of improvement will be next to nothing.
