My '74 Camper Special. Has a 460 & C-6. Straight, clean and decent interior. Got it $1000! Been tinkering with it: new intake, fixed rear main seal, pre-smog timing set, custom 2 1/2" exhaust, blue LED dash lights, slowly converting to LED, a lot of scraping of grease buildup underneith.
Pretty happy with it so far!
I think I'm going to have to get some pics of my truck up here since I do have a factory tu-tone. Paint code is ZX, Hot Ginger over Tan. Will get pics up tomorrow as soon as I can.
'79 Tailgate section showing Dark Metallic Brown w/ Golden Sand Metallic Deluxe Tu Tone.
Passenger side view. I'll be looking for some original wagon wheels as I try to get this girl back to or as close to original as I can.
Maybe someone on here can help me out. Trying to get the Ford Codes for "H" Dark Brown Metallic and "2" Sand Metallic. Paint Shop and I have had no luck finding a paint chip for Code 2. Apparently they only made 20 Broncos in this combo (no snickering), but I am bringing this back to original and could use some help on the Color Code 2 Sand Metallic. Here's a shot of what little remains of the original colors.
H2: Dark Brown Metallic /Sand Metallic
Sand Fiberglass Roof
I'm betting that the "2" is actually a Z, Medium Tan Poly. There is a Medium Gold Sand Poly with the code Y.
Hope this color chart helps....scroll down on the page.
Love your two-toned brown and white. I'm very partial to that color scheme. I also like that painted wheel cover with 16.5" retaining ring. I've only seen them on a truck that was restored and they went with over-the-top options that their truck never came with. Cool seeing them on a truck that obviously had them when new.
I have the other two covers for the front wheels as well just need to put the right wheels back on the front then i will have them on as well, thank you for the kind words on the truck the color scheme is definitely growing on me lol.
