Gotta admit, having told someone has helped two ways. First, it made me feel better, kinda like confession. Second, it has helped me understand why several things are happening. So, maybe we should have a "confessions" thread?
I made a movie of you in honor of your confessions, Gary!

I hope you enjoy it.

I got a good laugh out of that!

No comment from Gary yet?

Loved the leg creak at about 1:48. Also, didn't know you had a youtube channel ctubitus! Off to watch your F350.

He hasn't been logged in so I doubt he's seen it.

I've only uploaded a handful of videos, don't think anything substantial of the truck. My 'net connection is slow enough that I don't do this kind of stuff real often....

Nope, Gary wasn't logged on. Gary was driving his father's truck (if that's Gary in the vid then what's his father look like?!) to buy a ZF5. In fact, Gary and the seller picked up said ZF, including the attached BW1356 & associated front drive shaft, and put it in the bed of his father's 4x4.

But, thinking of the vid, my wife asked how you got my picture? And, where can I get some of those neat yellow pads for my walker? Also, that chair lift looks just the thing for going up to the attic of the shop - will it hold Gary's 180 lbs as well as a small-block head? I have three of those I need to carry up there, and given the 12' ceiling height that's a hike.

Anyway, I do admit I'm old. And, I'm slow. Further, I'm sure I'll feel today's activities when I try to get out of bed tomorrow. But, I'm having fun and that's what counts. Sticks and stones will break my old bones, but corny videos just make me laugh!

Why does it say "embedding disabled by request" when I try to watch the video?

I'm not quite as old as Gary, but I creak and pop at least as much, and move even slower at times......

I have no idea, it looks embedded to me and seems to be working.

Thats an accomplishment there! Those trannys are no joke. I am not interested in picking one w/o a tcase or driveshaft attached it up and putting it in the back of anything. Man, I hope you didnt tear your back up Gary. I read the post of the meeting place for the ZF5 in Sapulpa and was planning on going out there to help if I could , but, by the time I read the post it was too late.

He wouldn't let me help with the big piece, even though I was right there.
Google maps was wrong on the location, fortunately, I had a good idea where it really was.

BTW, in another thread you mentioned looking for a reputable exhaust shop. I have never heard anything bad about Leon's in Sapulpa. Been in business for as long as I can remember, and I've been around this area 35 years or so. He moved a couple years back, and the old location is open under another name, but the quality of work is not the same.....
I believe Leon retired many years ago, but Roger has been there for about 20 years that I know of........
If you want directions, shoot me a PM. Ironically, the ZF stuff was just around the corner from Leon's new location.

Bruno - I'm not as delicate as some seem to think. My back's just fine and, oddly enough, I have no aches nor pains today. Maybe its due to keeping busy, including carrying the SBF heads up to the attic from time to time, or carrying the in-box tranny jack the other day.

But, thanks for offering. I knew it was RW's town I'd be in and thought it was both a good time to see him again as well as a chance to get a second opinion. Had it been in BA I'd have contacted you.

In fact, I'll be in your neck of the woods tomorrow afternoon. If you aren't busy you could meet me at Inland. However, I'll be fine on my own, so don't sweat it if you are busy.

The yellow pads are tennis *****.

The chair lift, go here: Acorn Stairlifts : World-leading stair lifts from the experts.

The movie is called UP, it's a Disney/Pixar creation that I thought was pretty cute.

The old man is Carl Fredricksen (voice of Ed Asner).

I highly recommend the Movie UP! It's very cute.

WALL-E is also highly recommended, as well as Cars.

I'm just a kid at heart I guess.

Cars is one of my fav's - and I was one of the tallest, and oldest, people in the theater to see it when it first came out. In fact, I own a copy of it. Have seen UP and it certainly is cute.

But, I guess I was a bit too ..... obtuse ... when I mentioned the yellow pads. Even I knew what they are, but thanks to Chris for explaining it. I don't need them quite yet.

In the spirit of all this, I'll tell a funny story on myself: A couple of years ago a friend of ours needed brakes on her car but didn't have the money so I said I would do it if her teenaged son would help me. We had some stone work for flower beds being done at the time and I said to the young man "I was looking forward to when I'm old when I designed these flower beds as they are curved so they are easy to mow around." Later that day he said to his mother "Gary says he's looking forward to being old, but isn't he already ancient?" His mother called my wife and they both rolled on the floor laughing.

All joking aside that tranny is a serious chunk of steel and attach a 1356 as well as driveline to it. Thats a chore that makes the C6 you and I loaded a walk in the park. I cant wait until your ready to install that tranny and do the swap.

Yes, it was a chunk. But not too bad that we couldn't lift it high enough to put it on the tailgate. I was a bit worried about the tailgate though, and was glad it has the straps and not the cables - at least they look stronger.
