Need Help! 400M
Ok I got the truck running after the cam and lifters and timing now here is the new problem. The drivers side lifter aren't pumping like they suppose too. The first lifter on the third cylinder on the driver side is squirting oil like you would'nt belive. all others are pumping but not like they should.
Why would that one pump like hell but not the others? New push rods/cam/lifters. COmp cam 260.

I have very little hands on expertise with overjauling 400s but I would guess there might be an obstruction in the oil gallery in the cam journals. I have a manual I can look at and see where the oil goes from the lifters. It looks like maybe the oil goes from the mains to the cam bearings, then from the cam bearings to the lifters then ?maybe? drains out the lifters on the end of the block to relieve pressure. I am no expert but I would look into an obstruction in the gallery. Good luck
