Well today since I took a day off work, I decided to run through some of PM for my 04 F350 SD. I'll be changing the oil/transmission and external filter/ and fuel filter next month. Well today I checked my air filter, took my EGR valve out and cleaned it, took my CAC pipe off and checked/clean it up a little, then took my turbine outlet pipe off and checked/cleaned. Well only took a few hours to do but all clean. Then i took the throttle body cover off, checked the flap and everything and cleaned.
Well my EGR was covered in dry soot, which is of course better than wet as I've seen in previous post.
Hopefully soon I be changing out the EGR cooler and oil cooler cause right now I've been having deltas between 10 to 25* between EOT and ECT. I recently changed my thermostat which is regulated at 192*, but watching the ECT on my SGII I usually hold between 188 to 184 with the occasional 190*, I looked at BPD and have a 6.0L thermostat, my main question is what is the stock thermostat regulated at? I have seen from parts geek a thermostat rated at 195*, would that be at better choice instead of stock or is the OEM rated around 195*?
