Die-hard Platinum best warranty and good cca's. But break out your wallet they are $$$$.
I bought a set and they really spin the truck over fast, I actually thought my starter was getting weak and had the system load checked and was told the batteries were on their last leg. Wow what a diffrence!!

I thought Sears was closing up ? K-mart as well...that's why I went with motorcraft, I didn't want to be the one looking through the doors at the mall and seeing another vacant store !

Yeah, gotta go to the stealership. I think mine were about $109 a piece. My originals lasted over 7 years, just changed them out cause winter was coming on, and didn't want to chance it.

If you have a Costco nearby, for around $70 or so per batterry, you get 850 CCA and a 3 year full replacement warranty. Great quality batteries, and for the money they're hard to beat.

This is gona be opinionated (sp), but get the most cranking amps you can afford. I don't think name brands matter that much as long as the warrintee is honored. I have the walmart brand (everlast?) and one battery failed so they replaced them both. No cost to me.

I did have the Walmart brand after the oem's. One went bad, and the other showed good. They would only replace the bad one, even when I tried to explain to them that the other one would now be the weak one. 6 months later, that one failed, and I went with Motorcraft. Get the highest amp ones.

Costco Kirkland brand. Costco stands behind their products. I think I paid about $80.00 each.

Might want to see this thread

I have Motorcraft on my '99 and brand new Interstate batteries from Costco on my 2000. The two brands look and feel identical. As far as I can tell, the only difference is the sticker. There may be small differences inside but they seem to perform the same. They are about the same price also (around $190 for a pair).

I just replaced my original battery in my 2003 ford. It was still working but was going on nine years! I went to my Ford dealer and got the same battery, a Motorcraft with a 100month warranty. It was a little over $100 I think, but money well spent. That said, in my research, I got the impression that Johnson Controls (I think) makes almost all the batteries (including Motorcraft and costco) anyway.
My vote is for Motorcraft.

: i second the costco theme --> great product and nobody stands behind their products an better than costco .... plus the price is very competitive. good luck.
