Can somebody please tell me where all the bolts and nuts are so I can pull out the a/c box far enough to remove and replace the evaporator core?

Aperez if you look at the pic that jmo posted you'll see the the whole (and I mean whole) dash has to come out. make sure you disconnect the battery because you will have to remove the passenger airbag assembly. takes a lot of patience and time to do it yourself (took me 4 days).

As of today, I am at the same stage he was in the pic. I have removed the dash, but can not seem to be able to remove the evaporatore core. I think that I might be able to remove the nuts/bolts from the a/c evaporator housing just enough to pull it back out some to be able to remove the evaporator core. I just need to know how many and location of the nuts/bolts. Anybody?

Thanks for the pics. I will do this today. Did you have to remove the heater core and the entire a/c box housing to install the evaporator core or can I just slightly pull a/c box housing out just a bit and be able to remove and install the evaporator core?

Thanks! Figured I couldn't be the only person who needed to know how to do this, or had trouble finding all the screws.

Yes, that IS a great thread and pics! I plan on dying before my F-150 needs an evap or heater core change-out

You took an excellent pic there of what an evap core should NOT look like. I referenced your post down in the Bronco forum for that pic.

All it takes is a little bit of refrigerant oil to spread out from an evap leak, and it creates one heck of an air filter!

Wonder if a few well placed 9/32" holes drilled and a can of compressed air would help clear the evap. Then seal em backup with black RTV. Or just tape up all but the lowest vent and blow compressed air back into it. LOL

I removed all the nuts of the a/c box housing and pulled it back out a little bit and was able to remove and replace the evaporator core without having to remove the heater core nor disconnect the heater hoses.
