does anyone know if i can use the hypertech programmer i had for my 97 in my 2000 sold the 97 and took the program out

I would not think so,too many different items between the two.

Hypertech was pretty good about making model year-specific programmers. Unfortunately, I am not aware of a Hypertech that was like most Edge Evolution or Superchips programmers that would do multiple years.
