I have a 1995 F-250HD with the 7.3 Powerstroke. It will not start. I have replaced the Glowplug relay. I checked the voltage over it and realized it is not getting the signal to send power to the glow plugs. The "wait to start" light does not even come on. Is this a PCM problem? Anyone with a similar prob? I don't want to have to tow the truck to the dealer again!
I'll bite. Have you checked the #22 fuse under the hood? could be the fuel heater shorted out and blown fuse. Do you have tach movement when you try to start? Good luck. duece
There is no Tach movement. Does that mean it is the fuse? I have checked all the fuses but I will look again. The local dealer, Valley Ford in Valleyview, Ohio said it could be corrosion, to chase wires and check the grounds. I will hope for a fuse!
just wondering if you check your batteries? are they fully charged? What voltage are they while trying to start? If thay drop below 9 volts thay are on the way out. Yes you could have a fuse blown recheck fuses inside cabin and engine compartment.
good luck

Thanks Deuce. Went back and checked the fuse #22 in the engine bay and it was blown. Couldn't see it unless I pulled it! New fuse and the truck runs like it always had, great!
Thanks again.
usually when you blow fuse 22 it means the fuel heater has shorted out. when you remove the fuel filter you should be able to see the connections on the heater and if they are off then you might want to replace it.
