Alright, well it's def the death wobble. Im gonna go ahead and buy a dual steering stabilizer. I planned on doing it in the future, just not already. Any recommendations? Skyjacker, rancho? Money ain't really an issue and I like buying the best out there. What are the top three and how much of a pain in the *** are they to install? Don't seem like it would be too difficult. Thanks again
If price is no object, I recommend this kit from ICON. I have their kit for my 04, and it is VERY nice, and very well built. It comes to about $300 with the shocks. I promise you won't be disappointed.
EDIT: HOLY CRAP! That's an additional $291 for the shocks. Hmm...when I bought mine, I had the option of Bilstein's, or ICON brand shocks. The ICONs were rebadged Bilsteins. I went with the Bilsteins and saved like $70-$80. Even so, I think you will be very happy with this kit. I've seen some people break the cheaper dual setups. You're like me, if it something you want and it's something you need, you want the best there is, even if it is a little pricy.
Here it lists that you need the ICON shocks and it lists the part #. But, it also gives you the option of Bilstein shocks or a more expensive ICON shock in the drop down menu. I would go this route with the Bilsteins. Plus the kit is about $20 cheaper.
I already have a pair of skyjacker 8000 front shocks and love em. I looked around the net and asked a few friends and ended up buying the skyjacker dual stabilizer right a bit less than 150 plus 30 for overnight shipping. I checked out the icon, but couldn't get over night shipping. I had a pair of icons and loved them, just got a hell of a deal on the skyjacker shocks from a local place. Saved almost 50 bucks onoff brand new ones. So half off for a pair. Couldn't resist lol
I have the rough country dual setup and I love it had it on for about 30K and no problems. Very easy to install and is built very well and strong. Very reasonble on the price to under 200 with the shocks and shipping.
Will do, I got overnight shipping, but the order Just Now processed, hopefully should ship today, if not then I'm getting a few bucks back from the 50 I spent on shipping. Planned on getting it tomorrow, but now it looks like monday. Monday night I'll have it installed, then I'll test it and let ya all know, right away. Hopefully the ball bearings are screwed up too.
Critter & KingRanch, it's fixed. The Dual Stabilizer from Skyjacker fixed the issue. Never thought it would. Only took me about an hour to install, and that's with ****ty instructions and being a novice when it comes to being a mechanic. It was pretty easy. Drove it a few times down one of the roads where I experienced the "death wobble" and i couldn't any wobble after trying a few times. Haven't taken her down the highway yet, but I think the stabilizer took care of it! Thanks a lot! Still gonna replace the wheel bearings tonight, simply cause it's cheap and I've got nothing else to do. Appreciate the help guys. Hope ya don't experience the wobble and if you do, now we know what to do!
