Let me start off by saying that this is best done with a complete donor truck. You would need the trans, flywheel clutch etc., pedal assy for in the cab, the master cyclinderand slave cyclinder crossmember..... everything. So you see why a parts donor is best. Other that that it is pretty straight forward. The 7.3 used the zf5 trans w/ a duall mass flywheel. The 6.9's used a single mass flywheel and the t19 4speed. Not sure if the single smass flywheel off the 6.9 will work on the 7.3 or not. I did this swap on mine over a yr ago and love it! But then again I have always hated auto trans lol. Aslo you would need the driveshaft or shafts if 4x4. I did mine by my self along w/body swap in a 3day weekend.
