I have a '12 350 with a 6.7 diesel. On the bottom of my passenger mirror is a little door of sorts that can be opened with a flat head screwdriver. on the inside of this door is a modular plug attached to the door. Does anyone know what this plug is for?
Yes, the outside passenger mirror. No such access on drivers side mirror. It is electric as it has wires running off the back of it but it seems to be parked on a dummy male connector, which is part of the door.
its possibly heated mirror, power extend, power fold option plug... cant tell you for sure, but on my 08. under almost every door and panel has a harness into a dummy plug, for all the options i dont have.... its cheaper for a manufacturer to make less parts... so wire harness usually include most all the connectors but if you dont have the option, they dummy plug it
