Hey guys, I have a 1996 F250 Powerstroke, I am having an issue tracking down an electrical issue. I have a 7way plug on my truck, when I plug in a trailer, running lights, brake, 12volt, and electric brakes all work, except left side turn signal, the right side works, but not the left. The blinkers on the truck work fine, but I am not getting signal to the plug for only the left turn signal. I checked the plug it's self, and nothing, checked further up where the plug connects to the harness... same thing...nothing... like I siad, the signal on the truck markers work, but nothing going to the trailer plug... any ideas where to look?
The turn signals for my trailer plug are on a separate system. Is yours wired to the turn signals or on a separate fused system? I would take the plug and check the wires were they connect to it. They corrode there constantly
I figured that they were on a separate system, I did unplug the connector from the harnes that feeds the trail plug, but I'm not even getting signal there.... where else could I check to see where the signal stops?
If it's factory wiring then check fuse #7 10A in the engine compartment fuse box. That fuse protects trailer left turn lamp. Fuse #6 10A protects right turn lamp.
